Sin Perdon (Spain) - interview

First introduce us your self!
My name is Juanvi. I consider myself a rebellious, fighter and lonely person. My passion is music, my first contact with Oi!/Punk was in 1986 and I formed my first band in 1993.

I know you have play in many Oi! and R.A.C bands, can you give us the list of these bands? Some good experiences of these years you play for them? Which the best work you record?
I've played in bands like Alta Tension, Social Combat, Riot Squad, Brigada 1238, LDA and I'm currently immersed in the Sin Perdón project. My experience tells me that things have changed a lot and that nothing is the same as before. Perhaps the years make you see things differently, but the enthusiasm and strength remain the same as when I started. With this I do not mean that the past times were better but surely they were more fun. I am left with the experience throughout these years of having been able to share the stage with great bands and have found great friends along the way. It is difficult at this point to decide which is my best album, I prefer to stay with songs rather than with a specific album.

What about your last band Sin Perdon? Members, lyrics, gigs & releases?
Sin Perdón is a solo project. It's one of those things I always wanted to do. I compose the songs, I record the drums, the bass, the guitars and then Pablo the singer of LDA is in charge of recording the voices. At the moment in principle it is a solo studio project, but that does not mean that after a while the day will come to get on stage and start giving concerts. Regarding the editions, there is a CD recorded in 2018 that was reissued on vinyl by Dim Records in 2021 entitled “The Hidden Face Of Rock'n Roll”. A self-released cd with four versions “Made in Valencia” has also just been released this year.

From which city of Spain you come and what can you tell us about this?
I am from Valencia, the best city in Spain, also known as the city of the Turia and bathed by the Mediterranean Sea. La Paella the international dish that everyone knows is ours and our most popular parties are the Fallas well known throughout the world.

Best bands inside and outside the scene?
I don't know if they are the best but I will tell you which ones I have been listening to all my life. Decibelios, Cicatriz, Interterror, Llegales, Los Nikis, Seguridad Social, Estirpe Imperial, Baron Rojo, Paralisis Permanente, Cock Sparrer, 4 Skins, Last Resort, Condemned 84, Sham 69, The Business, Cockney Rejects, Blitz, Combat 84, Section 5 , The Adicts, The Exploited, Skrewdriver, Brutal Attack, Agnostic Front, War Zone, Bohse Onkelz, Motorhead, Acdc, Rose Tattoo, Toy Dolls, Iron Maiden, Ramones, Ultima Thule, etc.

How you realize the situation in your country and in whole Europe in social and national part? What about the covid situation?
Well Spain, unfortunately, has nothing to envy politically, I mean any country in Europe. The corruption in the parties is visible and the tiredness of the people is noticeable. They make us believe that with our vote we can live better and the reality is that we live worse and worse. But the worst of all is that there are people who believe them and with this they manage to have the town divided. One day in the not too distant future all this will change. I could tell you that I am tired of Covid, just like everyone else, we are fed up with this dictatorship imposed with rules that those who impose them do not comply with. The power orchestrated within the shadows is terrible.

What you prepared for the near future as band and as musician?
Right now I'm working on twelve songs that I hope will see the light soon with Sin Perdon. And on the other hand we want to resume the rehearsals with LDA to continue with what has already begun and surely record something else.

Your read books or fanzines? What about football?
If I read books, I really like reading history books and everything related to music. I don't like science fiction books or stories that aren't real. I also read fanzines but much less than when I was young, to highlight some I will mention La Veu De Valencia which is a city zine and I always read it. Soccer is rotten ETERNAL HATE TO MODERN FOOTBALL! Players no longer respect the shield they only move for money charging amounts that are disrespectful to the working class. I am from Levante U.D., a team from the city of Valencia without great aspirations. Unfortunately, if everything continues the same and nothing fixes it, we will descend to the second division.

How you face the skinhead scene in general presend days and what about the past days?
Well, I see the scene very stagnant, of course it is not living its best moment, but luckily as long as new bands continue to emerge, the flame will remain alive. Hopefully together we can rekindle the scene. All is not lost, we the old school will continue until the end (huh huh).

Thank you very much for your time! Last words for Glory Days of R.A.C readers?
Thank you for giving me the opportunity for people to get to know SIN PERDON a little more, a project that will give more and more to talk about because news is coming very soon. LONG LIVE ROCK'N ROLL!
